An explosion in a madrassa in south Kashmir's Pulwama, 35 km away from Srinagar, injured 17 students.

As a result of the explosion, six people were seriously injured by shrapnel and were rushed to the hospital of Srinagar, while 11 of the victims are treated in a local hospital.
The nature of the explosion is currently investigated.
Local media say that the explosion occurred when one of the students began to play with a grenade which he brought with him. News on the explosion sparked clashes between local residents and security forces.
