Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov plans to participate in a Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Caspian States to be held on August 11 in the administrative center of Mangystau region of Aktau city, Kazakhstan.
Kanal24 informs, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin told TASS.
"Sergei Viktorovich Lavrov plans to participate at a meeting of foreign ministers of the Caspian states," the diplomat said.
Notably, the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian states will take place on the eve of the 5th Caspian Summit, in which the heads of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia and Turkmenistan will take part.
As expected, the main outcome document of the summit will be the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea, the draft of which was agreed upon within the framework of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Caspian states on December 4-5, 2017 in Moscow.
