North Korea still trusts Trump

North Korea still trusts US President Donald Trumpsays a statement released by the North Korean Foreign Ministry on Saturday.

"We still value the trust we have for President [Donald] Trump," North Korea’s news agency KCNAsaid citing the statement.

North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un is reported to have written a letter for Trump, which was handed to visiting US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
On Saturday, Pompeo wrapped up his two-day visit to Pyongyang, where he had held talks with Kim Yong Chol, the director of the United Front Department of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). After the talks, Pompeo said, "Some places [there was] a great deal of progress".

Nevertheless, North Korea was dissatisfied with the US stance at the talks since the United States had unilaterally insisted on the country’s complete denuclearization.

Later in the day, Pompeo arrived in Tokyo. On Sunday he is scheduled to hold trilateral talks with the foreign ministers of Japan and South Korea, Taro Kono and Kang Kyung-wha.
