A total of 242 people were aboard the plane, with three of the passengers being slightly injured as a result of the incident.

An Air India airplane fell into the turbulence zone during the flight between Amritsar and New Delhi on April 19, due to a strong shaking, the window glass fell out.

"I've never come across anything like that. For 10-12 minutes we passed an area of incredibly strong turbulence," the pilot who flew the plane said.

Three people received minor injuries in the incident. They were caused not by the fallen glass, but by luggage that fell from the shelves. One passenger who was not fastened, also hit her head with the lining of the cabin.

A total of 236 passengers and six crew members were on board. The flight was carried out by the Boeing 787, which has been in operation for six years.
