Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov attended a roundtable on energy security within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.
The participants discussed actual issues of energy security, the Foreign Ministry told Kanal24.
Emphasizing Azerbaijan’s role in ensuring Europe's energy security, Mammadyarov spoke about the Southern Gas Corridor and the strategic importance of the TANAP and TAP projects in this respect.
He noted that work on the TANAP project is going according to plan and that the project will be launched this year.
The minister briefed the participants about the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council’s 4th ministerial meeting in Baku on 15 February as well as about the decisions reached during that meeting.
