A sociological poll, the results of which is published by Ynet, showed how much money the Israelis give to the newlyweds at the wedding.
The survey showed that the average amount of the gift voucher is 300 shekels ($ 90). In the center of the country this amount is slightly higher and is 350 shekels. However, in the case of a wedding of the best friends, the check amount is increased 2-3 times and is 800-1000 shekels (230-290 dollars).
The poll, which was attended by 700 respondents, also showed that the average cost of the wedding varies in the following limits: more than half of the respondents (51%) spent or are willing to spend 80-120 thousand shekels (23-35 thousand dollars) for the wedding, . 16.45% indicated that their budget would be 120-150 thousand shekels, and the same number of respondents noted that they are ready to spend 50-80 thousand.
Where will young couples find money for such magnificent wedding celebrations? 34% said they were counting on the money received as a wedding present. 26% also rely on these funds - but together with financial assistance from parents. 16% noted that all expenses are incurred by parents, and another 6% resort to loans.
