There will be a new type of visas for multiple short-term visits with various purposes, including tourism

Japan has simplified visa requirements for short-term stay of Ukrainians with regular foreign passports from January 1, 2018.

This was reported by the press office of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in Japan.

From now on, the circle of applicants entitled to multiple-entry visas for short-term stay in the country with business, cultural and scientific purposes is expanding, and the maximum duration of visas is increased from three to five years.

Existing single-entry visas will also include multiple-entry visas with a validity of three years and a maximum period of stay in Japan of 30 days for short visits with various purposes, including tourism.

In accordance with the amendments that have come into force, in the case of an independent payment for a trip, the applicant will not have to provide documents from the guarantor.
