Among those who promulgated their congratulations - ministers Israel Katz and Sofa Landver, as well as Knesset members from coalition and opposition parties - Tali Ploskov, Konstantin Razvozov and Ksenia Svetlova.
Russian-speaking Israelis were also congratulated by the representative of the Likud Center, former Interior Minister Gideon Saar and his wife, the famous journalist Geula Even.
In his congratulatory address, the Minister of Transport and Intelligence Israel Katz thanked the Russian-speaking Israelis "for their patience" and promised that the year 2018 will be successful, both in the area of transport infrastructure development (including in aviation transport) and in the sphere of security.
The head of government, Benjamin Netanyahu, at the end of last week joined in an explanatory campaign concerning the meaning of the "Russian" celebration on the night of December 31, January 1.
In a two-minute video, the head of government talks with young immigrants - Denis and Semyon, and, in one of the final shots, together with them, pronounces "Not Sylvester - New Year!".
