The head of the Israeli government, Benjamin Netanyahu, proposed a program to mobilize the international community to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The program received the conditional name "Fifty-fifty." It is that Israel will allocate $ 50 million from its budget, and every country that expresses its intention to transfer its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem will receive a million dollars out of this sum.
It is expected that this article will be planned in the budget for 2019 already. It is clear that this is mainly about the developing countries of Africa and Latin America, for which the amount of a million dollars is significant.
The Fifty-fifty program emphasizes that assistance to these countries will not necessarily be financial. Israel is ready to share agricultural technologies with them, assist in the construction of civil infrastructures and provide them with their achievements in the field of high technologies.
It should be noted that recently the issue of the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the transfer of its embassies to this city is being discussed by the governments and parliaments of dozens of countries around the world. Among them, Chile and Argentina, Romania and Hungary, Honduras and Panama, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Togo and others
