Educated people live longer

The Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics published a report, from which it follows that the higher the education a person has, the longer he lives.
According to the report, Israelis with an average or academic education on average live 6.3 years longer than those who have an educational experience of less than 12 years.
In men in Israel, this gap is greater than that of women. Thus, men with higher education, who are now 30, are projected to live 7.4 years longer than their less educated peers. For women this gap is 5 years.
Among the member countries of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), these figures are 7.1 and 4.2 years, respectively. And, the indicators among the 25 developed countries of the world are very different from each other. Thus, men with higher education in Turkey live 3.2 years longer than their peers with school education, and in Slovakia this figure is 14.4 years. In the same Turkey, more educated women live 2 years longer than their less educated peers, and in Estonia this gap is 8.7 years.
In 2016, the average life expectancy in Israel was 82.2 years - 80.7 years for men and 84.2 years for women. Despite the fact that these figures are higher than the average for Europe, the Central Bureau of Statistics notes that the growth rate of life expectancy in Israel has slowed down in the last five years.
