Israel presented vision to blind Panamanian students

Thanks to the built-in glasses special computer technology, equipped with artificial intelligence, they allow poorly seeing people to "see" and gain independence. A special camera is installed on the glasses, which fixes the text or image and "translates" it into the usual language. If we are talking about the text, the glasses take pictures of it and read it to the person. Miracle-glasses are able to recognize different goods in stores and report them to the carrier. They are also able to read text from any surface, including newspapers and computer screens, recognize banknotes, clocks and much more, and also describe the faces of counter people.
Israeli Ambassador Gil Arzieli said at the ceremony of presenting gifts, which was covered by all local media, that by helping the needy throughout the world and sharing their developments with them, Israel introduces humanity to the latest achievements of technology and helps to correct the world.
Next time, the Israelis are going to donate 270 special wheelchairs to the local disabled community for children.
Professor Amnon Shaashua and Ziv Aviram are known in Israel as creators of the technology of artificial vision. Their device Mobileye is installed on thousands of cars in Israel and helps accident-free driving. But very few people know of another, no less revolutionary invention of these specialists.
In their 2010 start-up, OrCam created an intelligent eye for blind people. This is a portable camera that is put on glasses. With the help of a small speaker, she reads the texts, recognizes the faces, reads the names of the goods, money bills and streets.
