On the night of December 1, a soldier of the IDF was killed at a bus stop near the shopping center of Arad.
The soldier was mortally wounded. He ran out into the middle of the road, asking for help, and fell on the hood of the car driving through the roundabout.
The driver says that the soldier was trying to say something, but he could not understand it. Eyewitnesses called an ambulance, but when the doctors arrived, the soldier was no longer breathing and his pulse was not felt. A few minutes later the doctors were forced to ascertain his death.
The police said that there is a serious suspicion of a terrorist attack. Around the Arad and on Highway 31, checkpoints are arranged, the search for a terrorist is in progress.
According to eyewitnesses, a soldier was attacked from behind and struck several times with a knife.
The Mayor of Arad, Nissan Ben-Hemo, said: "The working assumption is a terrorist act, although we can not yet define it unequivocally."
