Klimkin thanked Israel for its support in the international arena

Within the framework of the official visit to the State of Israel (November 26-27), Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin held official meetings with leading politicians of the Jewish state.

As stated in the press release of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Klimkin met with Israeli Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, President Reuven Rivlin, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, as well as with the Minister of Environmental Protection, the Minister for Jerusalem Affairs and Jewish Heritage, Zeev Elkin - Co-Chair of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation


The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation and prospects for the further development of relations of comprehensive relations between the two countries.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informed the Israelis in detail about the situation in the Donbass, and thanked the Israeli side for supporting Ukraine in the international arena - in particular, during the voting on November 14 in the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly on the resolution "The Situation of Human Rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine) ".
