The Tel Aviv court took the side of the Ministry of Transport in its dispute with the company Uber.
Today, from 10.00 am, the company will have to stop the work of its services Uber Day and Uber Night. The Transport Ministry accused Uber of illegal use of drivers in their pilot program, and the court found the lack of insurance sufficient grounds for a decision in favor of the Ministry of Transport.
The ministry says that only licensed drivers can charge fare, and warns that anyone who uses Uber services as a passenger or driver will break the law. Uber's lawyers stated that the service was adapted to Israeli standards, and noted the poor development of public transport in Israel compared to other Western countries.
