Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova Pavel Filip arrived on an official visit to Israel on Wednesday, November 8.
On the first day of the three-day trip, he met with the Vice-Speaker of the Knesset and co-chairman of the parliamentary friendship group between Moldova and Israel Tali Ploskova, a native of the Moldovan city of Balti.
As noted by the Moldovan media, Pavel Filip invited Israeli businessmen to invest in the economy of Moldova. During the meeting with Tali Ploskova also discussed the agreement on the social protection of Moldovan citizens working in Israel, providing for the possibility of paying them Israeli pensions and providing other social guarantees. Philip said that this agreement will be one of the central themes of the talks as part of his visit to Israel.
Also during the meeting, Pavel Filip pointed out Moldova's actions to combat anti-Semitism. "Moldova has become an observer state in the International Association for the Memory of the Holocaust and our country annually celebrates the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, and soon, a museum of Jewish history will open in Chisinau," the head of government said.
