US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Sekuta met with representatives of the local Jewish community in the village of Krasnaya Sloboda during a trip to Guba region.
According to the information, answering the question in connection with the Karabakh conflict, the ambassador said: "We continue to assist the leaders of the countries with a view to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict."
The diplomat noted that during his last visit to Washington, he held a meeting there with the American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Andrew Shefer.
"We exchanged views with him on what steps should be taken to promote the process. After the new administration came to power in the US, decisions were made as to the form in which the process should continue. It was also decided to appoint a new co-chairman in the OSCE Minsk Group. We continue to work in this direction, "he said.
