On November 6, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at a meeting of the Likud faction in the Knesset, talked about a meeting with Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, at which it was decided to immediately allocate 200 million shekels for the construction of already designed roads.
These are roads in the areas of Kalandia and Beit Arie.
"We will find financing for other roads, but first we should design the construction. This also applies to the administrative aspects of the remaining projects: the Al-Aruv bypass, the Havary bypass and the Modiin-Ilit on the 446th track. As part of the discussion of the budget for 2019 in the government in early January, we will approve commitments of up to 600 million shekels to complete work on these routes, including lighting, "Netanyahu said.
The head of government also noted the fact that throughout the year Israel was not condemned, and there were no decisions of the Security Council and other international authorities concerning construction in Judea and Samaria. "It's not accidental, it's the result of our work with public opinion," Netanyahu said.
