On Thursday, November 2, the leadership of the Council of Jewish Settlements of Judea and Samaria elected a new head of the forum. He became the head of the local council, Qdoomim Hananel Durani.
He will replace the head of the regional council Mate Binyamin Avi Roe.
The Durani was elected unanimously and no one ran for him. His election is unexpected, since his name was not among the original candidates.
Hananel Durani, lieutenant colonel of the reserve, was still the head of the security department in the Settlement Council. He also headed the commission on the selection of candidates. As reported by "Haaretz", the candidacy of Durani was presented only a few hours before the vote.
