Israel entered the top 20 ranking of the competitiveness of the WEF

Israel took the 16th place in the annual ranking of the competitiveness of the World Economic Forum, having risen since last fall by eight points.
Thus, Israel outperformed all other countries of the Middle East, including the UAE and Qatar. The highest results were shown by Israel in the areas of innovation and technology. The most problematic areas of the state were bureaucracy, high taxes and insufficient level of education of workers.
The rating of competitiveness was led by Switzerland, followed by the USA, Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany, Hong Kong, Sweden, Great Britain, Japan, Finland. Switzerland ranks first in the ranking for nine years.
Russia in 2017 rose five lines compared to last year and took the 38th place, Ukraine was on the 81st. A total of 137 countries are represented in the rating this year. The rating includes 12 indicators of competitiveness and is compiled annually on the basis of open information, as well as taking into account the views of several thousand experts from more than 100 countries of the world
