On Tuesday, September 26, the annual business forum of business initiatives "Israel-Russia 2017" was held in Moscow within the framework of the 14th meeting of the Mixed Russian-Israeli Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, headed by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and the Minister for the Protection of the Environment, Jerusalem Affairs and Heritage, Zeev Elkin.
The forum was organized by the Israel-Russia Business Council, headed by Teimuraz Hikhinashvili (Ben Yehuda) with the support of the Israeli Embassy in Russia.
Within the framework of the business forum, the prospects of cooperation between Israel and the Russian Federation, actual joint projects, establishment of direct partnership between the companies, promoting the strengthening of business cooperation were discussed. In addition, the forum hosted presentations by Russian and Israeli companies and a ceremony of signing bilateral agreements and cooperation agreements.
At the opening of the forum, the head of the Israel-Russia Business Council, Teimuraz Khikhinashvili (Ben-Yehuda), said: "For the seventh year I have been at the head of the business council, and I can say with confidence that the annual business forum brings results." Minister Elkin said: "There is a positive growth dynamics in the expansion of economic cooperation between the two states, which is an increase in trade turnover by 25% over the last two quarters, compared with the previous period, but there is a huge potential, and therefore we have a lot of work ".
