Business forum of business initiatives "Israel-Russia 2017" was held in Moscow

On Tuesday, September 26, the annual business forum of business initiatives "Israel-Russia 2017" was held in Moscow within the framework of the 14th meeting of the Mixed Russian-Israeli Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation, headed by the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and the Minister for the Protection of the Environment, Jerusalem Affairs and Heritage, Zeev Elkin.

The forum was organized by the Israel-Russia Business Council, headed by Teimuraz Hikhinashvili (Ben Yehuda) with the support of the Israeli Embassy in Russia.

Within the framework of the business forum, the prospects of cooperation between Israel and the Russian Federation, actual joint projects, establishment of direct partnership between the companies, promoting the strengthening of business cooperation were discussed. In addition, the forum hosted presentations by Russian and Israeli companies and a ceremony of signing bilateral agreements and cooperation agreements.

At the opening of the forum, the head of the Israel-Russia Business Council, Teimuraz Khikhinashvili (Ben-Yehuda), said: "For the seventh year I have been at the head of the business council, and I can say with confidence that the annual business forum brings results." The results of economic cooperation, but not only cooperation in medicine, culture, and technology is developing, one of the most important forums will take place today because we not only created the conditions for a live dialogue, but also plan to sign several treaties between Israeli and Russian companies. "

Minister Elkin said: "There is a positive growth dynamics in the expansion of economic cooperation between the two states, which is an increase in trade turnover by 25% over the last two quarters, compared with the previous period, but there is a huge potential, and therefore we have a lot of work ".

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Russian Federation Gary Koren, Member of the Knesset Joel Razvozov, Member of the Knesset Robert Ilatov, Minister of the Moscow City Government, Head of the Department for Foreign Economic and International Relations Sergey Cheryomin, representatives of state authorities, business circles of Israel and Russia attended the event.

The Israel-Russia Business Council is a non-governmental organization established to establish business contacts between leading representatives of Israeli and Russian business circles and to strengthen trade and economic relations between the State of Israel and the Russian Federation.
