On July 31, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman visited the central recruitment point "Meitav" (former BAKUM).

The minister talked to conscripts who would serve in the artillery troops, heard reports from the commander of the recruitment unit "Meitav", Colonel Yossi Matsliyah and the Chief of the Personnel Planning Department of the IDF, Brigadier General Eran Shani.

The Minister of Defense received a report on the process of passing the summer draft, on the changes, including the technological ones, that Meitav is going to hold and about the tasks facing the draft department.

Avigdor Lieberman also held a meeting with conscripts in the artillery troops, asked them about the expectations of the army service, about the process of their recruitment and wished them successful and easy service.
