Iraqis support Israel

A spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on relations with the Arab media reported that he receives many messages on social networks from Iraqi citizens expressing support for Israel during the Palestinian propaganda campaign amid the riots on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

"I received many reports of support for Israel from Iraqis who condemned Palestinian terrorism, as they also suffered from it," Ophir Gendelman, who represents the Prime Minister's office in contact with the Arabic-language media, said.

This is reported by the American Jewish newspaper The Algemeiner referring to Gendelman's record on the Twitter network.

Gendelman's message was accompanied by photos of letters of solidarity in Arabic - with Iraqi passports posted next to them, as proof of the origin of the letter.

In his "tweet" in Arabic, Handelman expressed "thanks and greetings" to the Iraqis who sent him these messages.

For a quarter of a century of the Baathist dictatorship of Saddam Hussein, extremist Palestinian groups enjoyed extensive financial and operational support from the Baghdad regime.

The documents found by US troops in the Iraqi capital in 2003 demonstrated widespread support for Saddam's support for Palestinian terrorism.

Among other things, we are talking about payments to families of suicide bombers and other terrorists, that is, about the same policy that the Palestinian Authority (PA) is currently conducting.
