Prime Minister of Georgia planted a tree in the Jerusalem forest

The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili, located in Israel, with a three-day official visit was the guest of honor of the Jewish National Fund ( "Keren Kayemet le-Israel").
He took part in the ceremony of planting an olive tree in the Grove of Nations in Jerusalem forest, next to the trees political leaders around the world.
Visit to Israel and the planting of trees in the Forest of Nations have already become a good tradition for the Georgian politicians.
Each president and prime minister performs this ritual in the first year after election. The cooperation of the JNF-KCL with the government and the Jewish community of Georgia began 9 years ago when in Tbilisi, in front of the entrance to the main building of the Tbilisi University, 60 trees were planted in honor of the Georgian-Israeli friendship.
Prime Minister of Georgia also held in Israel a number of official meetings, visited the memorial complex "Yad Vashem", which adjoins the Grove of Nations.
Georgy Kvirikashvili is a doctor and economist by education, he holds the post of prime minister since December 2015, before that he was minister of economy, vice-premier and minister of foreign affairs. He is a supporter of integration with the European Union and the Euro-Atlantic bloc, and also attaches great importance to foreign investment.
Grove of Nations was founded in 2003 as a joint initiative of the JNF-KKL and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.
