Kahlon agreed with his American counterpart on combating money laundering

Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, as part of his working visit to the US, met with his American counterpart Stephen Mnuchin.

Moshe Kahlon and Stephen Mnuchin discussed the planned tax reform in the US, within which the rates of corporate profit tax will be reduced. The parties also discussed the tax reform in the sphere of high technologies that Moshe Kahlon is conducting in Israel, and the work of American research and development centers operating in Israel.

Following the negotiations, a decision was made to set up a working group to study the economic consequences for updating the convention on avoidance of double taxation.
