International arbitration obliges HP to pay Israel 1.6 billion shekels of taxes

International arbitration took the side of the tax administration of Israel.
HP will pay 1.6 billion shekels of tax for the withdrawal of intellectual property from Israel, acquired with the purchase of Mercury software in 2006.
This amount should be paid in excess of 1.5 billion shekels, which HP paid to Israel when making the transaction.
The lawsuit between the tax office and HP lasted more than 10 years.
In Israel, the company was required to pay a tax at a rate of 25% of the value of Mercury shares of 16 billion shekels. However, the company insisted on paying only 1.5 billion.
