Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon will present today a program for raising funds for the replenishment of the social housing fund for approval by the socio-economic cabinet of ministers.

This is an additional scheme for the purchase of apartments for waiting social housing, following an agreement to allocate 5% of the apartments being built on the state land for this purpose within the framework of the project "Price for a New Home" (Mehir-Mishtaken).
Within the framework of the project, which Moshe Kahlon will submit for approval of the socio-economic cabinet, Amidar will attract a billion shekels in banks and financial institutions by issuing bonds.

The return of this loan will be paid to the state budget for a period of 10 years. This is an additional amount that will be added to the income from taxes under the Law on the sale of housing, also intended for the purchase of apartments in the social housing fund.
In addition, in the framework of the agreement between the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Construction and the Jewish Agency "Sohnut" 2,650 small apartments will be built for waiting for sotszhilya, the cost of the project is 530 million shekels.
