In Israel unmarried couples were allowed to adopt children

For this they must live together for at least three years
The Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Social Welfare of Israel announced that couples who are not officially married can now adopt children.

The only condition is that they must steadily maintain a joint farm for at least three years.
This decision was made by the authorities in response to a petition from the Reform Center and the nonprofit organization "Proud Fathers", who demanded that unmarried and same-sex couples be adopted. The last in the petition all the same refused.
"While it is necessary to leave everything as is, that is, to give preference to couples consisting of men and women. The reality of Israeli society is that children adopted by same-sex couples can face difficulties and negative attitudes, "ministry officials explained.
This is the first official statement by the Israeli authorities regarding the issue of adoption by same-sex couples. Until recently, Israeli law allowed only adopted couples to become foster parents.
