Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman decided to appoint Shimon Elkabets to the post of commander of the radio station Galey Tsakhal.
Elkabets, who until recently was the head of the radio department in the concern of the state television and radio company. In the past, he was a correspondent of Galilee IDF in the south of Israel, head of the news department of the radio station, as well as head of the radio station Kol Yisrael in the Office of the State Radio and Radio.
Shimon Elkabets will replace the head of the "Galey Tsakhal" radio station, Yaron Dekel, who has held this post for the past five years.
The new commander of GALATS will take office in September 2017.
