Omri Casspsi, the first Israeli to play in the US National Basketball Association, has agreed to play with the Golden States Warriors on Tuesday.

Casspi, a 29-year-old 6-foot-9 forward (2.06m), plans to sign a one-year deal, according to the Bleacher Report. He'll be paid the league minimum of $2.1 million.

The California-based Warriors won the NBA championship last year.

Casspi has averaged scoring 8.2 points per games, including making 36.7 percent of shots from beyond the three-point line, along with 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

He split the 2016-2017 season, playing for the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota Timberwolves.

It is Casspi's sixth NBA team. Last season, Casspi averaged only 5.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game, a relatively mediocre performance.

A two-time Israeli basketball super league champion, Casspi hails from the Israeli town of Yavne. He previously played for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
