Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Baku.

The FMs discussed prospects for developing relations between the two countries, as well as the regional issues.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu are holding a one-on-one meeting in Baku.

The meeting will then continue in an expanded format with the participation of delegation members.

The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey are scheduled a joint press conference following the meeting.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Tuesday arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit.

At Baku’s airport, Cavusoglu was welcomed by Azerbaijani officials and Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral.

During the visit Cavusoglu will meet with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and other officials.

The Azerbaijani and Turkish foreign ministers are scheduled to hold a joint press conference following their meeting.
